There is very little information at this moment as to the reasoning behind this week’s developments, but it has certainly prompted much rumour and speculation about the worst case scenarios.
As a huge fan of Star I’m desperately trying to be optimistic that SGG isn’t gone forever.
What is apparent however is that it’s extremely unusual for the entire group of model portfolios to be taken offline with no official announcement as to the reasoning behind the shutdown; and this has inevitably concerned many people.
I'm unsure why they didn’t leave the sites up with a disclaimer such as “sorry, but we are unable to update our websites until further notice due to unforeseen circumstances”; but I don't however see that as a reason for people to unduly worry.
Its time to just wait and see what develops.
